The Intermec 600 Series mobile computers let you economically place the power of information where it's needed most - directly in the hands of your front-line workers. Small and lightweight the 600 Series offers the advantage of consumer PDAs while providing the targeted functionality enhanced connectivity and durability of an industrial mobile computer. The 600 Series offers a choice of operating systems including Microsoftr Windowsr CE Windows 95r or MS-DOSr enabling you to simplify integration into existing enterprise systems. Intermec's powerful Lithium-ion (Li-ION) batteries enable the 600 Series to deliver full-shift freedom without the need for a recharge. Ensuring that collected data remains safe the 600 battery backs up system RAM for three days once the computer is in low battery mode. Optional desk-vehicle docks provide options including Ethernet RS-485 and RS-232 connectivity for up to four computers. An optional integrated bar code scanner is available to further enhance data collection capabilities. Also the Series 600 computers have thermal and dot-matrix palm-size form factor print options. These printers are capable of both standard and bar coded receipt printing plus signatures.
